It works great! File size of a movie is about 500mb. Here are the handbrake settings for most blackberries... Format: MP4 Codec: MPEG-4 Video/AAC Audio Frame rate: 15fps Encoder: FFMpeg Frame rate: 15fps Quality: Avg Bitrate 1500 kpbs Unchecked chapter markers Output: 320 x 128 (kept aspect ratio for widescreen version) BB screen size is 320x240 so if you keep aspect ratio just set the first # to 320 and the second will default (Btw, I already tried watching a movie on my blackberry that I had already ripped with iphone/ipod touch settings. It works but the file size is unnecessarily large, and the audio didn't match up with the video well when playing on the blackberry)
Just downloaded Handbrake which has disclaimers that say it won't rip through rights protection. When I tried it, it would not convert a DVD. What version of Handbrake are you using ? I use a Dell running Vista.....
Handbrake is good for mac users, but I think there are better options for windows users. I couldn't tell you what they are though, because I am a mac user. I'm sure there are people here that could tell you!
+1... i'm thinking about putting and possibly watching a movie on the Storm, never ventured into that territory. (also not w/ the Q)
Hi and welcome to EB: Perhaps you didn't notice, but you posted in the Mac section and as you discovered, Handbrake is for Mac. I don't personally do video, but I have heard good things about Nidesoft. You could try it for the free trial to see if it works for you and I am sure there are many others. Do a search here. I know there are a few threads. I just don't have time right now. There is that work thing getting in the way of my forum time. SteveTaz
Hi CLAYTON and welcome to EB: Exactly what did you find to be "nice work"? Thanks for registering and visit often....
Actually handbrake works real well on a pc I find it faster then on a mac. Plus u could use DELETED BY MOD together to bypass rights protection. Then take ur DELETED BY MOD file and use in handbrake works great
Hi joekid_ng and welcome to EB: Thanks for registering and i hope to see you visit and post often....However, easy on the testimonials for illegal software. We don't roll that way.....
