I just changed from the Verizon Motorola Q9m to the BB 8330. On my old Q, there was a way to put in your voicemail password so everytime you called your voicemail, it would automatically put in your password. Is there such a way to do this on the 8330? Thanks!
Welcome kevdogg. I know you asked for a Curve, and I have done this on a Storm. May not be the same, but it may help. Go into phone, menu, options, voice mail. You should be able to do it there. But, I am not for certain. Like I said, this is how you do it on a Storm. But it may work.
Hi dgray, thanks for the welcome. Unfortunetly, in the options on the Curve, it does not have a "voicemail" option. Thanks for the suggestion though!
Hey, you should have a contact in your address book called "Voice Mail", if not create one, then add the number for your voicemail (verizon is *86) click on the menu and select "add pause" then put in your password after the pause. That should do the trick, you may have to put in more than one pause to get the timing right.
Genius? Not so much, but thanks for the recognition, in addition you may be interested in assigning a speed dial number to voice mail, if it's not already assigned to "1". Just hold down a number key that you want to use and if it does not already have a contact assigned to it, you'll get an option to choose one to assign it to.
Key "1" is assigned to voicemail speed dial already. However, is there a way to change that? I need to change it to the voicemail in my address book so the password thing will work with it.
Hi kevdogg and welcome to EB: If you already have the Voicemail contact in your Address Book, open the Phone Dialer screen > BB Menu key > View Speed Dial List > Highlight the letter you want to use (V?) > BB Menu key > New Speed Dial > Select the Address Book Entry Note that you can also insert a comma at the end of the phone number and a Pause will be inserted. You can add multple commas for multiple Pauses, depending on your needs. I hope this helps. Visit and post often....
