    Address book program

I do not like Outlook and do not want to use a web based program like Yahoo to store and backup my contact files from my BB Curve onto my Win XP SP3 computer. Can any one suggest an alternate preferably freeware program I can use to edit contact lists and then sync it to the BB?

    Thanks

Use gmail contacts to sync to your BlackBerry via Google Sync. Works well for me.

Here are a few choices, none free though:

PocketInformant Not sure what you can sync to. Working on an OTA sync, but will be awhile before available.

Agendus I believe it is made to sync on the desktop with Outlook though. Check first. They also have a module to "take over" Outlook.

ToDoMatrix Most full-featured and also interfaces with several other components from the same company, REXwireless. One of the more expensive, but many swear by it. Full back-up system available so you never lose any data.

PocketDay No desktop sync. Does back up all data using BB Desktop.

All of these have free trials available so give a look, try the one(s) you want and report back any thoughts that can help to educate us all...
